Frozen Kingdom

Frozen Kingdom

When did I turn off my heart?
When did I build encasing walls?
I’m a shut-in; a life that’s gone quiet; trapped in a frozen castle.
I sent out a knight to capture and kill all my emotions.
A queen on a lonely dais,
Not even daring to rule my heart.
(It’s a thing gone dead.)
Frozen in pain,
It beats are icily resounding  throughout a white kingdom.
The sun never rises here
No warmth can touch me-
I’m a tundra at the end of the world.
A land ruled by snow and ice!
