Fall’s Faces
Melinda S. Everett
Red, Yellow, Orange
Brilliance flashing in Autumn’s Grace
Wed with graying blues
And frosty nights
Fall finds her place.
Hot creamy chocolate
Warms me inside
From dry scratchy cold
Brought on wintry winds
And season’s change
A tale retold.
Flower’s life withers
As time burns wild
And summer dies
Whirling clouds dance
Storm’s playful skies.
Seashores explode white
Spilling on sand
Free to break
Rushing, Running
Rolling
Satisfaction.
